A big thank you to Andy Sommer, Manager of Member Services at Southern Indiana Power, for taking time out of his busy day to speak with Ms. Spires' high school marketing classes! The students really appreciated the opportunity to learn valuable insights about marketing and its real-world applications.💡🎯

It's an annual tradition on the first day back from Winter Break for 10 of our former graduates to come and speak to the students in Grades 9-12 about their college experiences. Each year they share great stories, give tips to our current students, and share their successes. We thank them for their support in helping our students grow!

We had a fun day today at William Tell Elementary to end the semester. A special thank you to the TCJSHS band for visiting! We also enjoyed the annual 6th grade vs staff basketball game. At our assembly we recognized our 5th and 6th grade basketball teams, and they were sporting their awesome new uniforms. The players even showed us some dance moves! We also recognized Spell Bowl, VEX, and had a hula contest . Happy Holidays!

We wish "Mrs. Ress" the very best in her retirement. Sonia Ress worked at William Tell Elementary as Secretary/Treasurer for 19 years. She was recognized today at an assembly where she received lots of hugs from students and staff. Sonia loved her job and did it well, but more than anything she loved the students.

This past week, TCJSHS was awarded two trophies for their work in the Tell City Christmas Parade. The Marching Marksmen won the Soldier Award and the TCJSHS Art Club won the Holiday Spirit Award for their great work in creating a festive float for the parade. A lot of time went into this, and we commend Mrs. Zingg and the students for their efforts. Great work!!

Congratulations to our Students of the Month!! Officer Triton Martin took them to breakfast at Julie's Cafe this morning. And yes....sometimes they choose to get a milkshake!!

These students were selected as banner winners for the culminating project for Mrs.Elrhanjaoui’s Art Integration grant. This grant allowed for a community partnership with Tell City Regional Arts and was partnered with Colleen Reed. In this project, students had to draw what reminded them of home. In a difficult task, seven winners were selected to have banners displayed on the light poles on Main Street. Congratulations from left to right Cruz Lawalin, Elise Epple, Leah Scott, Eleanor Risse, Carmen McMahan, Journee Durbin, and Isaac Durchholz. Watch for their banners on Main Street!

While winter isn't officially upon us, the low temperatures and snowfall means it's time to remind everyone to make sure your contact information is up to date, as are your emergency dismissal plans. Please contact your school office to make sure our information is up to date. In the event of delay, early dismissal, or school closure announcements will be made via our school messaging service, Facebook, and local news stations. Stay warm, Marksmen!

Congratulations to the William Tell Elementary Spell Bowl team who finished 1st in their division, 2nd overall out of 9 teams at the Spell Bowl Competition last night at Cedar Crest Intermediate School. At the state level they were 24th out of 104 teams.

One of our teams took 2nd place in the Farbest Foods Challenge by building a functional drone (in the second fastest time)! It’s a great day to be a Marksman!

We had a great meeting with our new network of Early College schools this week!! Sharing ideas and growing together helps us all achieve more!!

We think it's safe to say that William Tell Elementary students enjoyed their "World Kindness Day" assembly! The Indiana Pacers mascot, Boomer, entertained the students and shared a powerful message about kindness, caring, and making healthy choices.
The William Tell Elementary staff is having some fun with the Secret Spirit Days where students guess the staff theme each day this week. We thought we would make it easy on them early in the week. They'll never guess the themes the rest of the week, or will they?

Thank you, Veterans! We are so appreciative that TCHS graduate and Army Sergeant Christian Hagan, who just returned from Korea, shared his story with the William Tell Elementary students.
