After a staff retirement party, a card shower, staff gatherings, and lots of hugs, today Mrs. Noble threw a "See You Soon!" party for the William Tell Elementary students. Grade level photos were taken as the students came in from recess. The students were each given bracelets, and they enjoyed a piece of cake served with their lunch. Mrs. Noble extends a special thank you to the cafeteria ladies who went above and beyond to help make this celebration happen. The students thought the cake was delicious! One student told her teacher, "I'm never taking this bracelet off." Mrs. Noble has shared with the students that retirement is not good-bye, it's "See you soon!"

Congratulations to Mr. Pat Jarboe for being named Techpoint Youth's 2025 Teacher of the Year! Mr. Jarboe was recognized for his excellence in STEM education! Presenting Mr. Jarboe with the award was Jamie Inskeep with Techpoint Youth.
This morning, our Healthcare students took their CNA written exam at Ivy Tech, and ALL STUDENTS PASSED the exam!! Congrats to Mrs. Filley and her students for working so hard all year in preparation for this test. We're very proud of you!!
This past Saturday, the TCJSHS Academic Science Bowl Team placed 3rd in the State of Indiana! They traveled to Purdue University to compete in the state Finals and represented TCJSHS with incredible success. We're proud of Holden Finley, Zoey Ball, and Ben Mundy for their accomplishments!!
Just a quick shout-out to our community partners who have come to speak with our Seniors over the past month. We really appreciate their time!! Mrs. Stath's goal is to expose them to real-life lessons as they prepare to enter adulthood.
Katie Marsh (pictured) came this week to discuss the process of filing taxes. We have also had Jamie Deel (Hoosier Hills), Jennifer Coyle and Tina Ziegelgruber (German American), Lee Chestnut (Farm Bureau), Theresa Lain (Domtar), Andy Peter (Lowtide), Lisa Miller (Nurse Practitioner), and Susan Miller (Thermwood).
On National Teacher Day we're sharing these slides that were created by the grades 1 and 2 Media Club. We are proud of these students for showcasing their teachers in such a special way. And, most of all, we want to thank our hard working teachers for all they do day in and day out to help students reach their potential! We have more great staff slides these students created that we'll post later this week. We're appreciating our staff all week!

William Tell Elementary 1st grade teacher Kyra Beier was surprised today when she was presented a $500 check from MasterBrand to use for school supplies for her classroom. Pictured with Ms. Beier and her students are MasterBrand representatives Greg Hollinden and Megan James. We appreciate MasterBrand for recognizing the hard work of our teachers! Ms. Beier's students were so excited for her to be selected for this Amazon Wish List award!
Perry County Prosecutor Samantha Hurst and Attorney Walter Hagedorn attended a mock trial facilitated by Chief Lawalin and his Criminal Justice class. Students explored the different roles and strategies of criminal trials and the attorney’s gave their time to support the students. A big thank you to all involved!! We love our partnership with the community!!
So happy to take a group of girls to the Young Women Lead Conference this past week!! They learned the power of teamwork, how to build leadership skills, and created connections with other students in the area. What a great event!!

Each week William Tell Elementary celebrates "Trivia Tuesday" with Mrs. Noble asking a trivia question on morning announcements. Classrooms then try to be the first to call the office with the correct response. The winning class gets to keep the Trivia Trophy for the week. This morning the students were asked, "What insect can essentially 'tell' the temperature by the rate at which it chirps?" Mr. DuPont's kindergarten classroom was the first class to call in with "cricket." This is quite impressive since the question was open to all K-6 classrooms. Mr. DuPont shared, "This is like getting an Academy Award! The students were soooo thrilled that we finally won!" Congratulations Mr. DuPont's class!
Katalina Perez Zaragoza was the grand prize winner from National School Breakfast Week. She ate breakfast at school every morning last week, collected prizes each day, and got her name entered into the drawing. She won a Marksmen bag , water bottle, fit bit watch, and more! Also pictured are the William Tell Elementary cafeteria ladies who helped make this happen. Congratulations Katalina!

A huge thank you to CW2 Gary Fisher and the Indiana National Guard for hosting our students today! The experience was truly invaluable, and our students gained incredible insight into the work, dedication, and service that goes into protecting and serving our country. Our Automotive students saw first-hand the equipment that is maintained on a daily basis by our Servicemen and Servicewomen.
