On April 17th, the Tell City Renaissance Class will be at it again with the 18th annual Lip Sync competition. This event will take place at Tell City Jr/Sr High School and will be held in the auditorium. The event will begin at 7:00pm CST and doors will open at 6:30pm CST. The public is asked to enter the doors on the 12th Street side.

The Lip Sync Competition is an annual event where students perform in a group or an individual act, while dancing and singing to their favorite songs. The entry fee will be $3 for Tell City students and $5 for adults/visitors. The Tell City Renaissance Class would love for the community to come together to support our talented Marksmen!

All revenue gained from the Lip Sync Competition will be used for future Academic Pep Rallies, which are events hosted by the Renaissance Leadership Class to celebrate student success inside and outside of the classroom. We hope that you can join us on April 17th at 7:00pm CST!

We’d like to extend a big thank you to the Perry County Sheriff's Department for hosting Chief Lawalin’s Criminal Justice students last week!

Our students had a great opportunity to tour the facility, learn more about day-to-day operations, and gain firsthand insight into careers in law enforcement. Experiences like this help bring classroom learning to life and give our students a deeper understanding of the field.

We truly appreciate their time, hospitality, and willingness to invest in our students’ future!

This week, schools across the country are celebrating National FFA Week, recognizing the impact of agricultural education and leadership development in our communities through National FFA Organizations. 🌾💙

At TCJSHS, we are incredibly proud of our young—but GROWING—FFA program. Even in its early stages, our students are already demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and a strong work ethic. They are gaining real-world skills, exploring careers in agriculture, and building character that will serve them well far beyond high school.

FFA is more than farming—it’s about premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. We are excited to watch our Marksmen continue to grow this program and make a positive impact on our school and community. Kudos to Mrs. Maegan Hagedorn for starting this great adventure with us! 🌟
