TELL CITY – Students in seventh through 12th grades who are new to the Tell City-Troy Township School Corp. are asked to come to Tell City Junior-Senior High School for enrollment purposes Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 3 and 4 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The offices will be closed for lunch from 11:30 until 12:30 p.m. each day.
Students who attended William Tell Elementary last year do not need to enroll. Orientation for seventh graders will be Tuesday, Aug. 9. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend the orientation session. Additional details concerning the orientation session may be found in upcoming articles.
All students who will be in seventh through 12th grades will need to come in for schedules and textbook rental Aug. 9, 10 or 11. The building will be open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day for picking up schedules, paying textbook rental fees, and locating lockers and classrooms, but the offices will be closed from 11:30 until 12:30 p.m. all three days for lunch. The building will be closed Aug. 12, and the bookstore and building will not be open to students Aug. 15 or Aug. 16 due to in-service and staff orientation.
The amount of textbook rental and fees may vary greatly and will depend upon the individual student schedule. Therefore, parents are requested not to call the school office to ask how much book rental is. A complete list of book rentals and fees appears on this page. One important note is that students will be billed for both first and second semesters when renting books.
Parents and students wanting to pick up schedules and pay book rental should park in the visitors’ parking lot off Fulton Street and enter the building through the main entrance.
Students are reminded that shirts and shoes are required when entering the school for schedules and book rental.
Parents are encouraged to accompany students to school for book rental and walking through the building for locker and classroom locations. Textbook rental and lunch assistance forms will be available in the office complex.
School will begin for students at 8 a.m. Aug. 17 with all students reporting to homeroom-house at the 7:55 bell.
