After getting a Bachelors in Textiles and Apparel Merchandising from Western Kentucky University, I spent about 2 years as an office equipment sales rep in Louisville, Kentucky.  Following that, I had short stints of doing home mortgage refinances and working for the Census Bureau. I then decided to answer the calling to go back to school to become a teacher. I have a Masters in Elementary Education with an endorsement in middle school mathematics. Before coming to William Tell Elementary, I spent 7 years teaching 6th grade at New Middletown Elementary and Henryville Elementary.

I am passionate about education, and I believe students can achieve anything if they have a growth mindset. Students in my class do lots of critical thinking and group problem solving with real-world mathematics. I encourage them to find the joy of mathematics in nature and our daily lives.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Dustyn, and our two young boys, Weston and Harvey.  I love hanging out with extended family and friends, cooking and baking, reading, and going to the movies.
