Term: January 2011 - December 2014
Address: 501 – 10th Street, Tell City
Message from Board Member:
Thanks for your interest in the Tell City-Troy Township School Board. I want you to know that I take my position on the school board very seriously, and I am on the school board for one reason: I care about our children and their education. I remind myself of that with every vote I make at the school board meetings. I don’t always make the right choice, but I try my best by ensuring that I have as many facts as possible, reading up on the material presented, and asking questions of many people.
I encourage your input to our educational system. Phone calls and letters are always welcome; however, attending a school board meeting is the best way to have your voice heard. We have a public input item on our agenda, and would love to hear your suggestions. Below are a couple of suggestions for your input:
· If you are writing a letter, please sign it. Anonymous input is not reliable, and therefore, not considered. If you believe in what you are saying, then please sign your name.
· If you have a complaint, the proper path it to contact the following in the order listed:
o Employee with whom you have a disagreement (teacher, counselor, bus driver, etc.)
o Building Principal
o School Board
· Please use my Tell City School Corporation email address (not Ivy Tech), and home phone number (not Ivy Tech) when contacting me. I can’t conduct school board business using Ivy Tech resources or time. I would like to talk to you while I am at work, but it would not be fair to my employer to expect them to pay me to conduct board business. Give me a call. I’d like to hear your commnets!
