The swimming and diving teams took on Jasper and NE Dubois last night at Jasper. Both teams beat NE Dubois with the boys falling short to Jasper 105 to 106. Winning for the Marksmen were Josh Gaynor, Drew Ettensohn, Thomas Simpson, and the 200 free relay of Josh, Killian Gaynor, Caleb Malcomson, and Thomas.

JAG is sponsoring a school-wide UNO Tournament. Today, an email will be sent outlining the tournament.  Registration for the tournament will begin on Monday. The cost for registration is $1.  All proceeds will go to a children’s hospital. . . . St. Jude’s and/or Riley’s.


Renaissance is sponsoring the 12 days of Holiday dress up.  Students in grades 7 through 12 are encouraged to dress up and earn points for their 1st period class.  Each day, first period teachers need to count how many students are dressed up and email results to Beth Whitworth at  At the end of the 12 days, the first period class with the most participation will earn hot chocolate and doughnuts on Friday, January 5. Dress up days next week are Christmas socks on Monday, Candy Cane Day on Tuesday, and Santa or Elf Day on Wednesday.  


There will be a Spanish Club meeting in the auditorium at 1:00 this afternoon.


Sports activities this evening include varsity and jv boys basketball at Southridge and the varsity wrestling PAC duals here starting at 5:30.  On Saturday, the wrestling duals continue starting at 8:00, the freshman boys basketball team will play in the South Spencer tourney, varsity swimming will compete in the North Harrison Invitational, and varsity and jv boys basketball will be at home with South Central starting at 5:30.  


Today in the Red Apple Inn, the Type A meal is tacos, romaine lettuce with cheese, veggie sticks with dip, fruit, and milk. The Type B option is nachos and cheese, and the daily featured item is pineapple fluff.


On this day in history in 1941, the United States entered World War II when it declared war against Japan. The act came one day after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Britain and Canada also declared war on Japan.
