Congratulations to the JV volleyball team for beating Southridge in two.  They are now 3-0.  Also, congratulations to the varsity team for defeating Southridge in three.  Rachel Malone had 30 assists, Kammie Jo Hayes had 15 kills and 10 digs, and Morgan Schuetter and Rachel each had nine digs.  Also, the teams and coaches give a shout out to the Pep Club for their support!

 

The girls golf team lost against Heritage Hills last night. Taylor Goffinet led the Lady Marksmen with 58.

 

Students -- you must have your signed  permission form turned in if you want to be able to go outside on Monday to view the eclipse.

 

How do warm brownies sound?  The homeroom that collects the most Box Tops each month will win a warm brownie party.  Please put your box tops for education in a Ziploc bag with your name and homeroom teacher's name in it. Awards will be given to the top student and teacher at the end of the school year.  Thanks for collecting Box Tops! Congratulations to last year's top student collector of Box Tops for Education Anthony Dauby and the top teacher collector Ms. Richardson!  

 

There will be Big Brothers/Big Sisters training in Room 607 today starting at 1:00.  

 

Anyone interested in competing in the Chalk Art contest near City Hall please email Mrs. Goodrich as soon as possible. The contest is on August 26.

 

The varsity football team will play Perry Central at home this evening starting at 7:00.  The theme of the game is hick.  Activities on Saturday include the boys tennis Washington Invitational, HS girls cross country Boonville Invitational, HS boys cross country Zionsville Invitational, boys soccer here with Shoals at 10:00, and girls soccer at Corydon.  

 

Today in the Red Apple Inn, the Type A meal is pizza, salad, cookies, fruit, and milk.
